Back to some of my favourite wedding venues in the beautiful Cotswolds along with welcoming new ones too! No matter where you get married they all have the same amount of love and fun to capture and seeing how everybody puts their wedding day together in their own way fills me with joy. Sadie & Steve are both based in London, Sadie is originally from America but they wanted a true English countryside style for their wedding day so Sudeley Castle was the perfect choice. I’ve photographed many weddings here and they’ve all been so different in style.

It’s a truly magical setting in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire. Perfect in all weathers with the incredible mature gardens that always look amazing throughout the seasons. Theres a chapel in the grounds where you can have a blessing or you can get married in the Banqueting hall. You can even have a smaller ceremony in the library.

Surrounded by the beautiful Cotswold countryside

Being based in Cheltenham and surrounded by beautiful countryside there are just so many great wedding venues just down the road. This was my 10th wedding season and every year just gets better and better. Kingscote Barn in the small picturesque town of Tetbury, Gloucestershire was the location of Laura & Lukes Cotswold barn wedding day. Probably due to the fact its such a great venue, snuggled in by the rolling cotswold hills making the perfect setting for a wedding. The only noise pollution was made by the sheep in the near field!

Natalie got ready in the new make up suite at Kingscote barn, it’s so lovely and spacious. The perfect location to relax while they got pampered by Sasha Brown (make up artist) and Stacey Jade UK before the ceremony. The lighting in this room is also lovely so a perfect spot to get some details and getting ready photos.

Andy & the guys headed over to the barn in the morning to set a few things up and put their suits/ button holes on whilst catching up with the guests as they arrived.

After the ceremony guests enjoyed drinks and canapés on the lawn supplied by the great caterers at Clever Chefs UK. (They are very lovely and the food is always excellent!)

Evening entertainment was supplied by the the lovely DJ Neil from Dizzy Feet

Summer time photoshoot

I took the couple along with the bridesmaids and groomsmen off for a little wonder and a few photos around the grounds just before everyone sat down to dinner. The weather at this point was so perfect.  I sometimes get asked how long I stay at weddings but really i’m there for the whole thing! If the dance floors busy and you’ve got sparklers- like these guys did- then i’m hanging around!

Ellenborough Park is a luxury 5 star hotel and spa situated near the highest point in the Cotswolds overlooking the Cheltenham race course. Making it a great place to stay if you’re visiting the races but also a picturesque location for your wedding day being a 15th century country estate.

The surrounding countryside and cotswold stone building really made the best backdrop for Natasha & Marcus’s day.

The whole day was spent at Ellenborough Park. Natasha and the girls got ready just above the gallery in which they were to be married. Marcus and the boys got ready the other side of the hotel and the wedding breakfast was just a stones through from the ceremony room. No time was wasted traveling anywhere! They had a falconry display for the guests to also watch whilst they enjoyed canapés and cocktails on the lawn.

A picturesque venue set in a little village between Cheltenham and Bristol, surrounded by the rolling Cotswold hills and woodlands.

Rachel & Steve had the most amazing weather for their wedding day back in July. With the village church just over the field this was the perfect location for them to get hitched.

The bride Rachel and her bridesmaids all got ready at Eastington Park in the morning whilst the guys only popped in to put on their button holes before heading over to the church. Rachel is a hair colour specialist at Stuart Holmes in Cheltenham so she had a whole team of experts helping them get to ready (I LOVE her head piece!).

With so many great places to get photos we were spoilt for choice. The low light coming through the trees after dinner is always my favourite time to take the couple away for 10 minutes or so. They can reflect on the day (and actually see each other for a second!) and I can grab some shots.

So happy for these 2. The day was just awesome from start to finish and they both didn’t look to shabby either 😉

I arrived at Cripps ready to capture the guests arriving and the boys waiting for Lucy’s arrival. The ceremony was inside because it was actually far to hot to have it outside (when can we ever say this?). The Barn looked beautiful with little plants down the isle, gorgeous flower arrangements suspended from the tall barn ceiling and lights over each of the open fire places.

You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to doing photos at Cripps so we made the most of the great weather and caught some beautiful moments of Lucy and Joe enjoying some quiet time together away from there busy day.

This wedding was truly incredible! Katie and Luke chose a venue they could put their own stamp on. Priors Tithe Barn in Brockworth, Cheltenham is a blank canvas leaving a lot to the imagination. What they did to the place was quite amazing. They built an entire bar area using beer barrels & large pieces of wood. Pumpkin events helped them get everything together professionally along with the help of their wonderful family and friends. They even brought in the sofas from their own lounge at home!

I think you have to look at the photos to understand more. Mint green bridesmaids dresses are definitely a favourite of mine! All the pastel colours worked so well against the shimmering table clothes =)

Sophie, the bride, was a bridesmaid at a previous wedding I shot last year so it was such a pleasure to photograph her big day too. Sophie thought of every little detail leaving Kingscote Barn looking absolutely stunning!

They got married in Lower Slaughter at St Marys church which is just around the corner. We stayed there for a while afterwards to get some pretty photos in the village and obviously go for a paddle in the stream too! The perfect setting for Georgie and Davids big day.
